80% of dogs over the age of 3 have some form of dental disease! It’s important to brush your dog’s or cat’s teeth regularly to protect them. Daily is ideal, but pet owners should try to brush at least a couple times a week.
Start by letting your dog taste the toothpaste. Never force your pet’s mouth open while brushing, and only brush the outside of the teeth so that your dog or cat is comfortable.
If your pet has dental disease, you need to have a professional veterinary dental cleaning.
