Music is a part of our everyday lives as people. We incorporate it into entertainment, storytelling, advertising, and sometimes just to fill an otherwise blank airspace. But cats don’t seem to care about music. Perhaps we just have different tastes.
A study from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, supports that claim. Psychologists and composers have worked together to create music that is based on sounds that cats like—such as the tempos of purring and suckling and the sliding wails of alley-dwellers. You can listen to this special cat music in the video below! It sounds really strange to us, but for cats, it’s music to their ears!
