Oliver the Great Dane | Winslow Animal Hospital Dog & Cat

Whoa! That’s one big dog!

Oliver is a 2-year-old Great Dane who came to Winslow Animal Hospital Monday to see Dr. Chachkes for a laceration repair on his back.

Laceration Repair

A laceration usually occurs as the result of a sharp object cutting through the skin and potentially tissues underneath as well. The wound may be superficial, damaging only the skin, or it may be deep, causing harm to other tissues such as muscles, tendons, blood vessels, or nerves. To repair a laceration, a veterinarian must clean and assess the wound before bringing the cut edges together with either suture material or skin staples.

Oliver is a wonderful dog, and we hope he continues to heal well!
