Beware Rodenticides. These types of chemicals are prevalent at this time of the year, and they can be deadly. Brush Up on Walk Etiquette. If you’ve been staying in to avoid heat, it’s a good idea to practice having your pet come when you call for those fall walks. Which Kind of Mushroom is That? There are a lot of mushrooms out there in fall. Most are not so bad, but a few can be deadly. And you always want to know what your pet is eating to be sure they’re safe. Why did it have to be snakes? While getting ready for a winter hibernation, a snake may be a little extra “grumpy.” Be aware of where your pooch may be walking outside during fall! Keep it Cool – Safely. Many choose to change their car’s coolant fluid in the fall. These coolants can be extremely toxic to pets. Find a pet-friendly coolant, and avoid letting your pet near chemicals.
