We had an amazing time at the Blessing of the Pets this year! Despite the rainy weather, it was an enjoyable afternoon, filled with love and furry-friends.
This year it was held on October 4th, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, who happens to be the patron saint of animals. What an auspicious time to come together and celebrate the human-animal bond.
Father Carmel Polidano gave a beautiful service, describing what a gift our pets our and they unconditional love they hold for us. A heart-warming reminder tinged with humor. We can’t thank Father Polidano enough for performing the blessing and helping us celebrate.
Thank you so much to those who joined us! Here are a few of the photos of the pets that got blessed.

“Not to hurt our humble brethren [the animals] is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission: to be of service to them whenever they require it.” -St. Francis of Assissi
