Financial Policy

Winslow Animal Hospital receives no support from charitable organizations or from the government.  Therefore, prompt payment assures maintenance of a well- equipped and well stocked pet hospital for the high level of care we want to provide for pets.  Our personable staff is passionate about what they do, and you can be assured that your pet will only receive the finest care.  We know that clients want the very best for their pets for routine well visits and screening as well as sick visits, treatment, and surgery. Payment in full is expected when services are rendered, either via cash, debit card, MasterCard, Discover, Visa, American Express or CareCredit.

Routine Care Policy:

Routine procedures including wellness and recheck exams, vaccinations, routine lab testing, radiographs, prescription food and medications are to be paid in full at time of service.

Surgical and Hospitalized care policies:

With these types of situations, costs can become a concern for pet owners.  We will do our very best at Winslow Animal Hospital to provide you with a healthcare plan to help you anticipate the costs for these procedures.  However, keep in mind that a healthcare plan is not set in stone, the care of your pet may be less or more than anticipated. In that event we will update you.  All of these procedures will require a deposit at admission to the hospital.  The balance will be due at time of discharge.  All orthopedic surgeries require a deposit of 50% of your healthcare plan at admission and balance at discharge in the form of cash or credit only. New clients’ checks will not be accepted for the first 6 months.

Emergency care policies

We understand that emergency situations can not be planned and can be very stressful to handle.  At these times it can be very difficult to pay for these situations in a timely manner.  We will provide you with a healthcare plan and options of treatment.  We encourage our clients to have pet health insurance and care credit to help with these situations.  Please ask a receptionist for help with applying for care credit or our recommendations for pet insurance.
