Dr. Amy Danaher

BSc (Honors), BVM&S

Dr Danaher grew up in the Midlands of the UK. Her enthusiasm for animal care was nurtured through helping out on local farms during lambing time. She pursued a career in Veterinary Medicine, graduating from the University of Edinburgh in 2016. Midway through the course, she also studied for an additional year to gain a Bachelors of Science in Infectious Diseases. Dr Danaher began her career in Mixed Practice in the Midlands of England, working with both farm and small animals for a year. The next two years were spent treating small animal patients at a busy charity practice, where Dr Danaher provided preventative and emergency treatment to pets, and developed a passion for general medicine and surgery. Her love for nature and the outdoors brought her to B.C. In her spare time, Dr Danaher enjoys running and hiking, as well as team sports such as netball and football (soccer!). Whilst working in the UK, she rescued an Irish Setter x Poodle called Bruno who lives with her family and she is missing him lots.
