Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Dr. Lamping graduated from Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2002 and began his professional career at Family Pet Clinic in North Richland Hills. Then in 2004, he joined Murphy Road Animal Hospital in Sachse. Through experiences at each practice, he developed his interests in dentistry, care of non-traditional pets, pain management, and soft tissue surgery. In addition to general practice, Dr Lamping began regularly working weekend emergency shifts from 2006 to 2012 at Lake Ray Hubbard Emergency Pet Care Center in Mesquite.
Dr. Lamping began his search for his own practice in 2009 when he ventured out as an independent relief veterinarian. He would substitute for practice owners or their associates at practices throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and occasionally even in San Antonio and Houston. As a benefit of this experience, he was exposed to a wide range of medical and surgical techniques while gleaning the best practices from each clinic. He became a leader in the Collin County Veterinary Medical Association. Elected to the Presidency in 2012, he directed the group to a new high in membership rolls.
Dr. Lamping’s favorite aspect of veterinary practice is helping his clients through solving problems for them. He especially enjoys soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care medicine, pain management, and neurology.
