Dr. Alexandra Kintz-Konegger, DVM MS-TCVM, is originally from Austria, where graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. Her educational journey took her, among other places, to the Taiwan National University, Taipei, for clinical rotations, and Pinnawella, Sri Lanka tending to Asian elephants in an elephant orphanage. After moving to the USA she obtained her veterinary accreditation through the AVMA’s Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinarian Graduates. Dr. K accepted an internship/associate position at an equine surgical clinic in Apollo, PA. While working there, she enjoyed traveling to Cairo, Egypt for equine orthopedic and breeding consultations.

Eventually Dr K. pivoted her practice to small animal medicine and surgery and opened her own practice – K. Vet Animal Care. Throughout the years, Dr. K has developed a lifelong interest in Eastern medicine & acupuncture. She earned a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine from the Chi University, Florida, and feels truly at home in both Western and Eastern medicine for all animals. Her free time is spent with her family and many animals, including goats, horses, chickens, cats, bunnies, and dogs, on her family farm in Latrobe. Dr K.’ s love for travel and experiencing new cultures continues, and she can be found exploring the jungles of Costa Rica or mountain slopes in the Rockies when time allows.

Her magic power at K.Vet is to start every day with earnest optimism!

Beth has been with veterinary medicine for over 27 years in one shape or another. She attended the University of Findlay in Ohio and majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology with a minor in Chemistry and it was during those years that Beth first began to work as a tech in a veterinary practice. She’s traveled to various places including State College, Georgia, and Tennessee all the while working a as a technician. During her stay in Georgia, she was invited to sit for the State Boards due to a grandfather clause allowing people with experience to take the test. She passed and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. She wound up back in her hometown of Greensburg and first came to work at KVet not long after they first opened the doors. After several years, Beth left to start her own business, building up a Direct Sales following and ghostwriting blogs for a few different skin care companies. She's now back with KVet once again and excited to be a part of such a great team.

Beth enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities like hiking, backpacking, and camping, as well as horseback riding and swing dancing/Lindy Hop. In addition, her life is punctuated by dog sports like Obedience, Agility, and Retriever Hunt Tests and she guides local pheasant hunts with her faithful Golden Retriever, Fozzie. Her collection includes 2 other goldens, Cappy, and Ari (a tri-pawed) and a thoroughbred horse named Reese.

The horse is Beth’s animal because there is just nothing quite like jumping on the back of a several hundred-pound animals and galloping across a field or cantering along the trail. It's exhilarating.

My K. Vet Superpower is probably organizing and planning - I'm a very linear thinker and can help to implement what the visionaries are able to conceptualize, helping things run smoother so we can offer our clients the best possible experience.
