We do offer admit appointments. Please call to arrange this service. Plan to spend about 10 minutes with one of our veterinary technicians prior to your departure. They will gather information about the nature of your pet’s symptoms to help the doctor with her examination and treatment plan. Please bring any medications your pet is on, any special foods they may require if they are in the hospital for the day. It is also helpful to make a list of any specific symptoms or concerns you want the doctor to know about.
It is important that you provide us contact numbers so that the doctor can reach you to discuss care. We want you to be involved in the decisions about your pet’s health. Please let our staff know your expectations. Do you want us to proceed with all routine care while your pet is staying with us, or does the doctor need to call you for authorization? We are happy to provide estimates prior to treatment.
If we are unable to reach you, we may not be able to proceed with providing the appropriate treatments for your pet. This may delay care, and may require another visit.
We usually ask that you admit your pet in the morning. We will call you once your pet is ready to be discharged, generally later in the day. Please allow 10 minutes to meet with the doctor or technician so that they can review health findings, home care treatments and any needed follow-up visits.
