Because animals can’t talk, a thorough physical exam is the best tool veterinarians have to determine the overall health of your pet. When you bring your pet to us for an injury or illness, we will examine your pet from nose to tail to ensure that we obtain the correct diagnosis. We will let you know of any findings during our exam that are abnormal, and may recommend additional tests such as bloodwork and urine tests, x-rays, ultrasound, and biopsies to further assess what is wrong. These tests can be an important aid in determining a diagnosis, so that the correct treatment can be given to help your pet feel better quickly.
If you believe your pet is injured or sick, or if you feel like your pet “isn’t quite right,” please give us a call. Here at Advanced Veterinary Care, we will answer any questions you may have about your pet and will make every effort to get your animal in to see us as soon as possible.
